Job Description Summary

GE Engine Services Malaysia (GEESM) seeks a highly motivated and analytical SAP Support Analyst to join our Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) Aerospace Engine Shop. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring operational excellence by providing exceptional technical support to our internal users and driving continuous process improvement within SAP functionalities.

Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Function as the primary contact for day-to-day SAP-related incidents reported by the GEESM MRO shop.

  • Conduct in-depth analysis and troubleshooting of reported incidents employing root cause analysis techniques to identify and resolve issues efficiently.

  • Foster collaborative relationships with designated SAP Super Users across Engineering, Production, Materials, Quality, and COM functions. Partner with these stakeholders to understand their needs and spearhead process improvement initiatives within the SAP environment.

  • Collaborate with the global SAP Operations Support team and product teams to ensure timely resolutions to any transactional, data, or process issues encountered with SAP.

  • Leverage historical incident data to identify knowledge gaps and develop targeted SAP training programs (Standard Operating Procedures, User Guides) that equip users with the necessary skills to minimize future issues.

  • Proactively support site User Acceptance Testing (UATs) for new SAP projects and initiatives designed to enhance user experience.

  • Lead Production Support standardization, driving standard practices and SAP operations, ensuring transactional accuracy.

  • Ensure correct identification and routing of issues to the correct group to meet shop priorities.

  • Provide support to SAP product/Ops team for scheduled releases and enhancement development. This includes understanding test cases and supporting end users on validations and required documentation before changes are moved to production. Drive adoption of improvements at the site.

  • Identify application or process improvements that could positively impact shop productivity. Coordinate communication flow down and training between SAP team and key shop users.

  • Provide visibility to the site DT Leader with regards to all emerging trends and risks associated with SAP operations and transactions.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) with advanced experience.

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a SAP ECC Application Support role.

  • In-depth understanding of SAP functionality and configuration principles. Practical experience of SAP and the major business processes within a shop.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in analytical and problem-solving techniques with a focus on root cause identification. Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements, and identifying stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills fostering effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders. Demonstrated strong relationships and ability to influence and motivate.

  • Proven ability to develop and deliver clear, concise, and user-friendly training materials.

  • This position will have matrix reporting to Operations/Production and Digital Technology team.
