We're seeking a CR&O (Components Repair & Overhaul) Materials Planner Intern for our Pomigliano site!

This internship will offer you the opportunity to learn about the role of a Material Planner.

A Material Planner is responsible for planning and scheduling material production needs and monitoring the alignment of the need dates and PO through the release of Request for Order. In this position, the Material Planner will ensure parts and materials are available at the right time and in the correct quantities, to allow customer orders to be fulfilled in an efficient and timely manner, whilst managing inventory levels and costs

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Attend daily production control meetings (safety, quality, delivery and costs).

  • Keep up with constant communications with shops on material requirements related to inputs and part conditions.

  • Assure consistency between production plan and need date, being accountable for material coverage.

  • Release Requests for Order, PPO schedule and child orders according to production needs.

  • Monitor material delivery and expedite deliveries whenever required.

  • Support Materials Vendors on issues related to delivery, quality and certifications.

  • Work with sourcing for solutions on alternative materials in time of crisis (eg. Quality problems with existing materials, or existing Material Vendors fail to deliver on time, etc.).

  • Work with Logistic team to resolve any relevant purchased materials receipt.

  • Monitor delivery delinquencies for material purchases and to follow up with procurement and/or vendor.

  • Analyze on quarterly basis scrap rate to modulate minimum inventory stock.

  • Work with Program Management to define Safety stock level.

  • Monitor warehouse to assure invoices are issued in time.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Engineering Bachelor/Master’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial from an accredited university or college

  • Good oral and written communication and presenting skills

  • Problem Solving skills

  • Fluent in Italian and English language.

  • EU Work Permit
