GE Aerospace Site Lean Leader in Madisonville, Kentucky

Job Description Summary

The Site Lean Leader will coach, drive, and lead Lean behaviors, principles, and tools across the manufacturing site(s). You will drive cultural transformation resulting in step-change in operational business metrics. You will work directly with the Site Leader and leadership staff in the development and implementation of lean strategies in identified areas.

In this role, you will focus on projects / process improvement to ensure that products are manufactured with the appropriate safety, quality, delivery, cost (SQDC) hierarchy and in alignment with the Systematic Approach to Lean @ GE.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Create the Lean Vision and implement a Lean Strategy to reduce inventory, lead time and waste. Partner with teams to develop lean transformation strategy for the organization.

  • Teach and Coach teams on Lean methodology, principles, and tools.

  • Lead plant-wide Training and deployment of practical problem-solving methodology

  • Lead projects/process improvement to execute lean strategy.

  • Facilitate Kaizen with high quality while focusing the Site on the Right Gaps and Developing People.

  • Partner in overcoming business challenges and recommend best practices to improve processes and products.

  • Stay Informed of industry trends that may influence work.

  • Manage and/or influence other Lean Coaches and Support Teams within the site to drive best practices in process design and implementation.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field from an accredited college or university

  • 3 years of Lean Manufacturing leadership experience

Desired Experience & Characteristics

  • Extensive Lean Manufacturing background within a plant and operational managerial experience from a production / manufacturing setting

  • Hands-on experience with implementing change projects

  • High-Energy, independent thinker; data/fact driven decision maker.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
