Job Description

Role Summary/Purpose:

The LM2500 is an industrial and marine variant of the aircraft engine CF6-80C2 that has been modified for to power oil & gas and electrical applications. This role, LM2500 Turbine Mid Frame (TMF) Module Integration Leader (MIL), is the connection between Engine Systems, Design, Production Technologies, PSE, Repair, Maintenance Repair Overhaul (MRO), Sciences (Aero, engine dynamics…) and Disciplines (materials, stress analysis, product definition…). Serves as primary technical expert for the module, protects its integrity and drives significant technical issues to resolution. Module Integration Leader define, optimize, and manage intra-module, interfaces, and interactions. Including engine level sickbay (related with module) or assembly level MRB support if its related module. Responsible for the module budget preparation, spend control and forecast updates. Owns Statement of Works (SOW) for the module, prepare the project plans and responsible for the execution of the module related projects.

Mentorship of less experienced engineers & owner of pitcher-catcher knowledge transitions and documentation of design decisions/trades within module. Collaborates with overhaul and component repair shops, module cost management & biz case preparation support in collaboration with repair and MCRB module cost leaders. Coordinates rapid communication of issues (Mfg., QEM, field findings, safety issues, ...) between Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) and Production Technologies (PT) and ensures the transition of product knowledge between both teams. Field issues resolution guidance and support for the module. Owns technical management of Cl-I design changes and quality of tech review/PCB inputs.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • MSc/BSc in Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Experience in a relevant engineering role.

  • Strong technical background and able to provide technical leadership/guidance to broader team

  • Assure all component designs meet requirements, define module/component level requirements

  • Support and coordinate with interfacing organizations such as design, manufacturing, sourcing, sciences and systems engineering

  • Support service programs, fulfillment, and New Product Introduction (NPI)

  • Communicate progress to all levels of the organization

  • Has a good understanding of "Leadership" and ready to act as a role model by demonstrating high standard of work ethics and dedication.

  • Ability to manage ambiguity, conflict, and uncertainty within the team

  • Excellent communication skills with both external and internal customers

  • Ability to connect effectively with a broad group of stakeholders.

  • Strong project management skills

  • Giving module-level recommendations for the module. Facilitate communication of technical and business information between organizations and within work group.

  • Communicate with management and/or customers on module related technical issues.
