Job Description Summary
GE Aerospace is offering the opportunity to work with the latest technologies and applications, specializing in aircraft engine design and analysis, in a technology base. Turkey Technology Center (TTC) in Kartal/İstanbul, is one of GE Aerospace's nine engineering centers throughout the world, supporting aviation-related R&D and innovation projects that expand with new investments.
Thermal Systems Design activities focused on jet engine cooling systems. In this role you will support design, analysis, testing and validation of engine systems, sub-systems, and components in terms of heat transfer and fluid flow requirements using state-of-the-art engineering best practices. You will be involved in NPI and/or support of manufacturing and life cycle of jet engines.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
Conduct the planning, analysis, or assessment of designated projects using robust engineering principles while adhering to established business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements.
Develop an understanding of air movement as a fluid within intricate mechanical systems and the exchange of thermal energy among components.
Engage in conceptual work pertaining to thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer within the realm of sciences.
Deliver or evaluate crucial technical presentations to ensure engineering excellence.
Ensure accurate documentation of technical data generated for assigned projects or tasks, aligning consistently with engineering policies and procedures.
Engage in collaboration by sharing engineering insights to troubleshoot issues and foster open dialogue, maintaining alignment with engineering policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an accredited college or university.
Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in an engineering role.
Desirable Qualifications:
Preferably hold a degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering focusing on heat transfer or fluid mechanics.
Demonstrate foundational expertise in heat transfer and analysis of fluid systems.
Exhibit strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
Showcase robust leadership skills, capable of influencing others.
