Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide variety of Manual and CNC machines tools and associated equipment.

  • Be able to maintain, repair, adjust and modify complicated machine tool equipment.

  • Must have analytical ability to troubleshoot any of this equipment and pin point malfunctions.

  • Able to read, interpret and follow intricate and complex blueprints and instruction manuals as they apply to the hydraulic and mechanical apparatus of the assemblies and sub-assemblies of machine tools and process equipment. Perform preventive maintenance on machine tools and associated equipment, incorporate modifications and revisions when required.

  • Experience in troubleshooting, repairing a variety of mechanical assemblies such as precision ball screws, spindles, head stocks, lube pumps, transmission, hydraulic systems, counter balance cylinders, etc.

  • Perform all functions of repair and maintenance and may occasionally be required to make replacement parts.

  • Perform duties and tasks at all times conforming to all safety regulations and procedures.

  • Keep facilities, materials and work area clean and orderly using good housekeeping procedures.

  • Keep abreast on latest machine tool developments through training by shop supervisor or other related training/vendor training.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
