Roles and Responsibilities
Team Leadership and Development:
Build and lead a high-performing engineering team, fostering a collaborative and accountable environment.
Empower team members through coaching, mentorship, and providing opportunities for professional development.
Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback.
Project Management and Planning:
Manage the full project lifecycle, from conception and planning to execution and delivery.
Break down complex projects into manageable tasks and create clear action plans with defined milestones.
Delegate tasks effectively, track progress, and adjust plans as needed to ensure timely completion.
Strategic Alignment and Execution:
Partner with stakeholders to understand project priorities and translate them into actionable roadmaps for the team.
Drive team focus towards achieving project goals across all metrics, including safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity.
Monitor and analyze project performance, identify and mitigate risks, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Communication and Collaboration:
Communicate project goals, priorities, and expectations clearly to the team and stakeholders.
Facilitate effective communication within the team and foster collaboration to achieve shared objectives.
Regularly report project progress to stakeholders and address any concerns promptly.
Additional Responsibilities:
Stay up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends relevant to the engineering domain.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of engineering best practices within the organization.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 10 years of experience in manufacturing experience)
Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing/leadership experience
Desired Characteristics
Master's degree in Engineering Management, Business Administration (MBA), or a related field.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar project management credential.
Proven ability to manage projects from conception to completion, on time, and within budget.
Experience with specific engineering tools, technologies, or methodologies relevant to the company's needs.
Proven ability to solve complex technical problems and translate technical concepts into clear and concise language for non-technical audiences.
Minimum of 4 years of experience leading and managing engineering teams
Strong coaching and mentorship skills to develop and empower team members.
Minimum of 4 years of experience as an engineer with a strong understanding of the relevant engineering principles and technologies
