GE Aerospace Quality Specialist in Lynn, Massachusetts

Job Description Summary

The Quality Specialist will ensure that hardware at both shipment and receipt is conforming to all GE Aviation Standards. The Quality Specialist will assist in the development and maintenance of systems, rules, and processes to ensure fulfillment of internal and external requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensure products and services perform to quality standards, regulations, and specifications

  • Learn to Utilize historical precedents and current / real-time data with appropriate analytical tools to develop solutions

  • Communicate and work with sites and suppliers to determine root cause and corrective actions from both Logistics issues and customer issues.

  • Support multiple programs to work through segregation and clearance of hardware based on quality issues reported from field and suppliers.

  • Participate in cross-functional teams in the investigation and elimination of causes of quality problems and verify effectiveness on corrective actions.

  • Perform audits as required to assure compliance with customer requirements Review and assure compliance with customer blueprints, specifications and other technical documents

  • Learn to initiate action as it is required to ensure project / team success (e.g. mitigate risks, problem solve, provide technical guidance, etc.)

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing or quality control)

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
